MEET YOUR GUIDES
DAVID &
CHRISTINE
David and Christine (Davide and Cristina, as they are
known in Italy) first began traveling to the Piemonte
region of Northern Italy in 1996. David's ties to the
automobile industry brought him there for work several times each year
through 2015. His wife and their two daughters were fortunate to travel with him most summers where they formed many wonderful friendships and enjoyed all this special region has to offer. The entire family fell in love with this very special part of Italy, namely the untouched Langhe area of Piemonte. So much so, their eldest daughter was married there in September of 2023!
When David's automobile work slowed, the family didn't want to give up
spending time in Italy, so he and Christine went through the process of
obtaining their wine importer's license and began importing the delicious
wines of this region. And they continue this to this day.
Over the 25+ years spent exploring Northern Italy, they developed many friendships with winery owners as well as restaurant owners. They have always enjoyed sharing the "Treasures of Piemonte" with family and friends who were able to join them for a visit. It became their dream to share this wonderful part of Italy with others, so they have created an "off-the-beaten-path" experience for those who would like to explore the incredible Treasures of Piemonte. They look forward to sharing this very special place with you too!
MARK & DEBI
Mark and Debi developed their enthusiasm for travel though their parents who loved to journey to various parts of the globe. As Mark and Debi and their kids grew older, they started to accompany them on many of these excursions.
Over the past 25 years of traveling through Europe, Mark and Debi developed a particular love for Italy. They’ve explored the big cities like Rome, Florence, Venice, and Milan but decided they more liked roaming the areas less frequented by the touristy crowd. They found that just getting into a car and driving through the winding roads of the vineyards was the best way to find the hidden jewels that Italy had to offer. They mostly loved walking around the hilltop towns, getting lost in the winding cobblestone streets and stumbling upon the small family run trattorias where they could sample the food and wines typical of the region they happened to be in.
Along with Dave and Christine, Mark and Debi now wish to share this “off the beaten path” way of traveling with their guests and along the way introduce them to the authentic side of Italy. The places where time runs slow and the sights, smells, and tastes of Italy can be savored and enjoyed at a leisurely pace. They hope to also instill in their guests the love for Italy they all share and build the desire to return time and time again to discover all that Italy has to offer.
